A little Christmas-update.

This is actually a delayed mid-term project in one of my courses which I was supposed to do when both my computers broke down. Thankfully we don't need to have our assignments done until after the holiday which is why I finished this now.

Assignment was to do a self-portrait by using both photography and something drawn, and I knew pretty early on what I wanted to do.
What I didn't know was that I would pull it off this well.

Basically what I did was to draw a portrait of myself and scanned. Then I took a bunch of pretty bad photographs of myself. After that I merged them in this ripped out-kind of way and lastly added some effects to make it look more realistic, less flat, and give it a texture. Overall I am pleased with it.

I actually had more parts of my face cut out, like the mouth and my beard. It was hard to decide which parts were going to end up in the finished image, and I am still not sure if I should've left out the beard.
