Changing back to the "One each day"-thing I had from the beginning. Just for this christmas
It is Christmas time and the first of December. For this occassion I present to you this flash-calendar that will countdown until Christmas Day. Each day will feature a surprise for you all.
And don't think you can just go and watch every surprise in one day. I've featured a special code that won't reveal the surprises before the proper day So cheaters beware!
It is possible to cheat, though, but where's the fun in that, eh? Besides, It's not like I've completed all surprises as of yet; in fact only a few are done at this time.
For those who read me journal last week will recall this as what I was speaking off as one of the projects that's flooding my time. Yeah, I had hell getting the animations I have done to today, but finally I managed. No worries, I believe I'll manage everything, but don't be surprised if you check it out and there's no new surprise for you. Hopefully it won't come to that though.
I hope this will all infuse you all with the proper Christmas spirit, and that you'll enjoy this. Even though this is a school project, I am making this for all of you guys!
Keep checking back everyday to see the new surprise, and always check this description because I will feature updates and notifications conserning this.
And if you come across any error please report and I will fix it by the time by the next time I update it.
Note: The file is quite large already and will no doubt grow bigger with time. Just to warn you all in case you're wondering why it is all white. It takes a while to load and I have yet to learn preloaders.
Update 4th December (for me): A new, spiffy looking preview button. The old one sucks and I blame it on not making it into the favorites. I also blame the category since I couldn't find a Christmas-related one. Until now that is. So I changed it.
Thank you all for the possitive comments and all. I've gotten quite a few favs so I'm feeling a bit proud. Will keep working hard.
Oh, and to all my friends here on DA. You might all make appearances, but if anyone don't want to be sure to tell me.
Update 11th: Once again I'd like to thank you all for the wonderful comments and so forth. With only a little more with over a week before this thing is supposed to be done I am not at all feeling stressed (bloody lie!).
However, you all need to comment more. I only get one from the most of you which is nice and all, but new things keep comming up all the time and I wish to know what you think about it.
And I believe I have run out of space for the keywords.
Update 15th: Ah! It just came to my realization that there was something wrong with surprise 10-11: A december dream. Apparently the text just cut off after a bit of text.
I cannot understand how much problems that text gave me. When I checked out what could be wrong do you know what I found? Nothing! It made no sense. Apparently the text in some way looped and appeared way at the top of flash (which explained why the second part appeared over itself before I changed the size of the font due to it being so long).
But I have fixed it through alternate means. I split the two parts into smaller segments. Note though that each part is already split into five lesser parts each, but I could not segment after this because it would only problomatize.
So please read it now it is whole and let me know what you think of it, alright.
Update 24th: Hopefully the final update. Every part has been put up, though 25 wasn't that dramatic or any big finalé, but you have to know I'm sitting here on Christmas eve typing this now, after spending some last hours working on it.
I it is all done now. Thank you all for your kind words and a special thanks to those who added it to their favourites. You have all made it worth the struggle of completing it and for that I am grateful.
See? This is what happens when you get overambitious. I could've made a simple calendar with simple animations biut no, I had to make this monster of a creation for all of you people. It has been a lot of work and now I'm a bit scarred. But no worries, I'm soon back with new deviations so don't give up on me just because the calendar is completed.
Anyway, thank you all again and have a very merry Christmas.
Looks like this will have a LOT of potential! Good luck! Don't forget to spread the Holiday Cheer around the internet!
